Dear Readers

I apologize for my prolonged absence from the site to keep you updated on the Climate Justice conference.
I actually slipped and fell down on the last day of the Climate Justice Conference and sustained, pardon the pun, a pretty nice injury to my left leg and right arm. That was followed by a nasty bout with a viral infection/flu. For now I want to only say that the conference was well attended and needed for those interested in understanding the fractious and sometimes contentious evolving climate movement and the environmental justice movement. There were new scholars and activists and the usual/perennial crowd of scholars and activists.

I promise you that I will post a more extensive critique of the conference soon, but on the 25th of February I will be attending the annual American Society for Environmental History Meeting in Tallahassee, FL where they are convening a mini EJ conference with the support of Mary Ann Liebert Publishers, Inc. on Friday and Saturday of this week, Feb.27-28,2009.
